Like I've said before, we should all be grateful to Chako for allowing us to collect vicariously thru his collection  :D

Agreed,  and that is what I do when looking at his pix

That is a truly epic collection  :salute:

How do you decide which one to EDC? I didn't spot any SwissTool multitools  ;)

I EDC a Leatherman Knifeless Fuse due to work restrictions. That makes my life a lot easier. :D

There are so many out there, it is hard to pinpoint a favorite. However, I must give the knifeless Fuse its due. It has done everything I have asked of it with nary a complaint on my part. As for the rest...I couldn't pick just one. Sorry.

I have a fair few myself these days, but not quite on the scale as you Dan.
Obviously being in the UK makes everything much more expensive over here - hence, I got to ask is that all insured ?
I haven't as yet insured mine, simply because its continually ongoing, but even I have noticed the increase in value from when I first joined MT'o almost 2yrs ago.

Without going through drawer by drawer, I'd hazard a guess that lot would easily fetch well in the excess of 10K?.

Hell of a collection Dan  :salute:

I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.

Yes it is covered under my house insurance.

As for increase in value...yes, it is hard to miss. The cost and prices have skyrocketed since I started 5 years ago. A person could say that SAKs are investments...and I would readily believe them now.

Hey Chako
Thanks for the post - A truly amazing collection. Fascinating to browse the photos and turn a shade of green !!
Personally I much prefer the neatly laid out drawers of knives/tools as opposed to the drawers full of boxes and general stuff. Did you ever think about separating them out in that way?
Although I do love the Victorinox football - Fab :-)
For me, as a SAK collector (althougth I do also have have a meagre four Leathermans - or is that Leathermen? :) - in my collection) there is one glaring omission from your collection!...
A Swiss Army Knife! -as in an original Swiss Army Soldier Knife - Ie one of the 1890-1961 variety - I see you have the 1961-2008 and 2008+ models!!
Did I miss it? Or are you more of a modern tool and multitool collector?
Keep up the good work
Cheers for now

Modern all the way. I have no interest in the older stuff.
