Thanks   I really do like the red/black combo look.  And it's a good size for carrying in my lighter, gym type shorts without feeling as bulky and heavy as the Mechaneer and Yeochamp.  Not that I won't carry them anymore, but I think this one is a good one to carry around home in the evening.

@ monrogue yeah I put 5lbs or crap in a 1lb capacity crap holder. 
the evogrip looks great, I have the yellow/black 18 ( I dig the saw layer for some reason ).  I actually had an issue with the scissors as well when and tried to fix them but just ended up returning it and getting a new one.

Well you do well at getting it all in there and organized   So maybe the scissor spring issue is somewhat common?  I wonder if others have experienced this as well.  I'm just relieved I didn't end up having to bother with the process of sending it back.  It's not a big pain, but still, I wouldn't have liked having to wait a few more days to get a new one, and even then, who knows if I would've gotten a better one, or if I would have had to try to fix it on the new one.  Anyway, I fixed it so it doesn't matter now   I'm still on the fence about having a saw on a SAK.  I consider that more of a full size multitool type of thing, but I hear a lot of praise for SAK saws.  If it was something I ever really used, I would consider it, but I rarely actually use the saw.  I do like to have one on my multitools though just in case.

I was bummed about the scissors on mine as well. it did suck to have to return it and wait to get another not knowing if it would be the same situation.  my scissors wanted to close back up when trying to cut, the spring didn't seem to be strong enough to keep them open.  anyway glad your is in working order and your happy with it.  I really like wenger evo grip series a lot and like you mentioned I like where the tweezers and tooth pick are located.

I've owned a few Wenger Saks with scissors and I've never had any problems with them.

Yeah, so was I.  That sounds like what mine did.  I would cut and they would stay closed, but it was due to the spring sticking against the body of the scissors.  It's not weak as it works fine now that I fixed it.  It must have been just a teeny bit too tightly pushed inward or something.  Or are you talking about the backspring?  I have noticed that whenever I use the scissors, the backspring tends to give way a little so that they move up a bit as if I'm about to put them back.  I don't know if this is normal though, so it may not be an issue.  It doesn't seem to affect performance, so whatever.  Yeah, I'm afraid I'm going to end up wanting more of these.  I wanted the locking blade version, but it was the yellow/black (not that I don't like that, just like red/black better) and it had that PER logo on it, which I didn't really want.  I don't know why they couldn't have made the red/black version locking as well   The next option would have been the S18, but I didn't want the saw.  I would imagine the saw would be a little short on the smaller Wenger body anyway in comparison to the Vic 91mm.  If I were to break down and get a model with a saw, it would probably be the Vic Ranger as I like the looks of that one.

I got it used from felinevet a few years ago and its been my desk knife in my shop/study since I got it. I'm very happy with it. I like the feel of the solid red scales and its size.
