Portable Chainsaw Saw Mills?
on:
June 18, 2013, 08:14:44 PM
Over the years, we've had many trees down from storm damage. I always feel a twinge of sadness when an oak or maple goes down and just rots away.
I have recently seen some portable chainsaw saw mills at Northern Tool which bolt to the bar and run on a detachable rail system.
Has anyone here tried one of these? Opinions?

I just googled to see what you mean and found this homemade one. Looks cool.

I think Joel does lumber work so maybe he'll have some more info on those.

Here's what I'm looking at:
I'm getting the smaller 24" chainsaw setup for my Stihl 026 and just a 9 foot rail.
