Tag Heuer watches?

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to get a Tag Heuer watch.  Not sure why exactly and I never had a specific model in mind, but I just wanted one as I was always under the impression that they were great watches.

Are they as great as I have been thinking all this time?

I've always wanted one too.  I don't know much about them, but I've always loved the look of the the Formula 1 - especially the Indy 500 model.

I agree, that looks great.    Infact most of what they do looks great. 

I bet they are all pretty chunky though.    Would look silly on my thin wrist.

Why don't you buy one and send it to me.  I'll check it out for you and see if it's too big for your wrist.  (I'm pretty sure it will be, therefore I'll have to keep it).

The Victorinox watch I have has the same Swiss movement as one of the Tag models.  The MSRP on that Tag model is $500 and the Vic was $180.  That gives me the impression that they're a bit overpriced.

Yes.  Actually, I was wrong.  My Vic has the same movement as this Tag Aquaracer, at $1000  :

They were on closeout when I bought mine.  I checked about a year ago and I was still seeing them on Ebay for decent prices, but I have no idea how available they are today.  There are four models--dark red face and dark blue face, each with a stainless band or a leather band.

Mine is accurate to about 2 seconds error a month, BTW.  It's best that I not tell you what I paid for it.

It certainly does beat paying $1000 for virtually the same watch.
