swisschamp...HOLY CRAP!!!!!!

I ordered a swisschamp from FV and got back form a business trip yesterday to find it sitting on my recliner. Man, this is one amazing swiss tool.

Does anyone here carry one EDC? It's a honking knife and I am sure it requires a beltpouch or something.

Glad you like it mate.

I edc a Swisschamp and I get on with it really well. I have a pouch, but I don't use it, I am quite happy to just pocket carry it.

I EDC one at work .Its a great knife and I think you will get alot out of it .Do you own a Swisstool yet by any chance

I do own a swisstool and that's what made me get the champ. I love both. The hard part is deciding which to carry!!

I always twin my multitools with Saks, as do many other members. With the Swisschamp you pretty much have everything (to a certain extent) but you only have small pliers, shorter length drivers and nothing locks, hence why you need to carry a MT as well (I carry a Swisstool). If you were only to have a Swisstool, then you are missing all the implements in the scales, the corkscrew and mini screwdriver, and also the magnifying glass. You would also be lacking some smaller pliers for more intricate work.

I also carry both to that I can hold something with one hand and screw in with the other. That has come in handy a few times now.

Basically, with both, I am pretty much covered for most tasks. With a Swisstool and a Swisschamp no one can call you under-prepared.

It makes sense to have another swiss army knife with you because you may need to hold something with the pliers and cut/screw / file etc.
Think of holding the nut on a bolt while using the Swisschamp to screw it .

well benner, it helps that i already have both of them. The swisstool has been on my belt since I got it and the champ, I just got last night, has been in my hand as a tinker toy ever since.

Actually, the swisschamp came in the mail while I was in austin on business. I was talking to her on the phone and she opened it up. She says....'cool, this has a lot of stuff on it'. Before I even got home she was messing aroudn with it.

I think she likes it mikey....

I KNOW!!!!!! I have a 1k a year knife budget and she has a 1k garden budget. No kids, so we can do that. Well, it's april and she's spent 950 and she's not even gotten to fall yet. I've spend about 400 and have been rationing my funds.
She walks in the kitchen today and I say..'Hey dear, do you realize how much money you've spent on the garden so far?' SHe says 'yeah, about 1k.' Smart woman she is, she follows it up with..'looks like your knife budget will go up soon.'

Yep, I get to increase my budget as soon as she crosses the 1k mark and with fall not even close, I am sure to get some extra dough.
