RIP Prof. Mick Aston
on: June 25, 2013, 10:31:56 AM
Professor Mick Aston,of Time Team fame has passed away, aged 66!

Mick was the driving force of Team Team,a TV series doing archeological digs in three days.Micks work has done so much to popularise archaeology, and brought it from class rooms, and into everybodies lives.

It would be fitting if Mick were layed to rest with a variety of grave goods to confuse future archaeologists, and a time capsule to explain

RIP Mick,you'll be sorely missed!
There is no beginning,or ending, and for this we are thankful, cos now is hard enough to understand!

Oh no!

What a shame. I've watched Time Team religiously for years.

I like the idea of a random assortment of grave goods :)

very sad news. :(  I watched Time Team for years, ever since it first started in fact, though I admit my watching habit has become a lot more piecemeal in the last few years.

He'll be very sadly missed. :salute:
