Sorry to say I can't help with uploading pics from a phone.

Here's the tool belt I wear when I'm assisting my electrician friend. Nothing special, just a Husky nylon pouch and belt, with a leather hanger for an electrician's hammer.

The second pic is the stuff that are my own tools. The electrician supplies the other tools I need.
Cheap work gloves, cheap over-glasses goggles, insulated compound leverage pliers, flip-bit driver, sharpie, and mini-mag light. I usually also stick in a cheap $1 LED flashlight to specifically hand off to my friend, who is the absolute KING of losing flashlights. His record currently stands at 3 in one day, that I've seen.

Mostly, I'm either doing lots of wire runs (when wiring a new house, for instance), or I'm at the bottom of a ladder, handing the electrician the stuff he needs to speed him up. I put the wire nut and staples in the second pic because i thought it was funny, and a good example of the kind of random crap that ends up in my tool belt.

I'm not a tradesman. I'm a very, VERY part-time assistant to one, but I have a full appreciation of what those guys do every day, and I'm pretty amazed. They're some serious hard working dudes.

If you use tapatalk via phone you can upload some from there, but after 20 you have to pay more. Photobucket or other hosting sites work also.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

I love those Makita cordless drivers. They're very light and powerful, and the little LED light on the front is super handy.

I've got a different model, but the Makita is definitely the best overall cordless drill I have owned :tu:

I've used the 10.8V Makita and own some of the 10.8V Bosch kit, and whilst they're both good I'd buy the Bosch every time for myself. In total I've got a 10.8V screwdriver, 10.8V impact driver, 18V combi and 18V impact driver, all Bosch Blue Li-ions.
At work we have Ryobis, and the batteries just die so quickly - I've had my Bosch batteries far longer than some of the Ryobi batteries, the Bosch ones still work well and the Ryobis don't at all.

For work's cordless angle grinder I've rigged up a doohickey so you can run it off a tractor battery - not had to use it myself but by all accounts from the people that do it's pretty good.

For my own EDC it tends to just be a multitool because my job is so varied. If I'm programming at my desk I just need something to open packages with, if I'm building electrical things I tend to be at a desk where I have lots of tools, if I'm out with a tractor then they usually have tools with them and the other guys who do that sort of thing more than me have EDC toolboxes that mount in various places round the tractors. I do have one little pouch for when I'm out and about with a 6" adjustable, multimeter, 1/4" sockets and this thing (which is fantastic):

Some of my work gears from the truck, stuff I use on a daily basis.
The bucket goes with me and the box stays in the boot.
The tools are not flash because if they get dropped it is a one way trip.

The wiring kit lives in the electric parts box.

Everything here gets used all day every day.

And lives in the bucket.

This stuff would be used a few times a day.

And lives in the tackle box.

zoidberg: if you're using a drill to drive nuts, when it dies an impact driver might be worth a look. Faster until the nut is nearly home, then vast amounts of torque.

When driving screws, you can drive a screw right in to a large lump of wood and right back out the other side if you so wish, all whist not ripping your wrist off  :tu:

I use a pair of klein angled diagonal cutters almost constantly at work. I do mainly low voltage wiring to the comm room at the big blue electronics store. Here of late though i been doing whatever they need construction wise. Learning a lot of new lingo.

also a good set of linesman pliers for pulling wire and a brand spanking new fish tape to replace the ole crappy one i threw in an infamous red headed late night temper flair up.  >:D

and my company supplied  cable testing equipment and cable sniffer.

also i can go thru zip ties and electrical tape like a madman.  ::)

I feel the same, great value for the cost.

Thanks for the advice. I do use the 18v as a drill too. My impact driver died recently, I'm still saving for a replacement. Been looking at the AEG 12v impact driver and the 18v 2 piece combo. At that price though I wouldn't want to carry them in the bucket as I have to work in the rain and mud etc which tends to kill gear.

Best (or should that be BEAST) cordless drill I've ever used is the Milwaulkee M18 Fuel Brushless.
Only down side to them is that they are if anything too powerful.
Drive a 50mm holesaw through 1.5mm sheet steel and when it grabs the damn thing nearly breaks your wrist and dislocates your elbow.
Tim the tool-man would be proud of it.

My compact , quick detachable belt pouch . Tomm. , I'll post a picture of the contents . Both the main driver , and stubby are multi bit , the bits interoperate with a driver system I use on my impact gun .
