Except for the notch in the pliers being a bit off center on the Walther they look almost identical. How do they stack up performance wise?

fake one doesn't seem as sturdy as the genuine and metal quality is absolutely low.except the two main differences, place of hook and absence of ruler there is no identical difference.i will be using both together to try for a while and see the difference.

i think every leatherman lover must have one, a unique tool.locking pliers solves many problems easily.as i said many times about the corkscrew of vic's.if you need a corkscrew you must have a corkscrew, if you need a crunch you must have a crunch.

Now is the second glass for a misterious lady or for the crunch?

no mystery, second glass is for my lady, "tulay".she wanted the pink wine i always prefer red.
i know, we are hard-working people, all, in this forum.a bottle of pink wine with a beautiful lady celebrates my day.i remember some days; my shift finishes in hospital and i rest half an hour before i go home because i have no energy to walk out.

I see, i said mystery because she isnt in the photo
Well not to deviate the thread but i know what you mean, i worked in a public hospital for 7 years, all children and mainly violence and abuse cases. I remember i got home and slept all my free time because i couldnt do anything else. So yes sometimes small pleasures mean a lot when you spend your days dealing with suffering and problems.

Yep, looks like a pretty faithful copy, except for the usual "melted" Chinese phillips screwdriver
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

Are these the same as the £10 Silverline one below?:
http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,42096.135.html
Posted my thoughts there but for me the Crunch/clone is a locking plier only, the other tools are a real afterthought and a total PITA to access and use, the knife is really short and at least on the clone good for micro bread slicing (or cheese as above) and not a lot else...
At the end of the day £10 is where it's at, any more and you're far better off buying a set of 'proper' locking pliers. How LM charge what they do (at least in the UK) and sell them I don't know, as an EDC it's useless, a Wave is much, much more practical.

Cool comparison. I want a crunch and these fake ones are tempting. I still won't get a fake though!

Don't judge a tool by it's brand

Yeah, get a real one, they really are good
Some people say the implements are a bit lacking, but I have to disagree. The wirestripper may be a bit unconventional, but I do love the bitholder, And the screwdrivers are plenty good. Even the knife isn't that bad, just a bit short, but the serrations work great.

you will get the taste of crunch when you get used to open and close the pliers with one hand.
