Hey guys, I just ordered

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000VUY8SE/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

for my Executive and

hopefully for either my Electrician or Farmer, has anyone used either of those sheaths before, and does anyone know how well those Victorinox knives might fit in those sheaths?

I'm not stoked about the open belt clip, but these looked like the most reasonably trim sheaths or pouches I could readily find.  All the Victorinox versions look like they're sized for Champs and wouldn't be a great fit for the Alox models I like so much.

I think there is a chance the Alox models would be too 'long' for the Wenger pouch, as it seems made for the normal Wenger 85mm knives. On the other hand, the difference is only 8 mm (to the 93 of the alox models) so maybe you're good.

Aha.  The Wenger Executive size is for their 65mm knives then?

Anyone have a recommendation on a similar slim pouch, preferably with an ordinary sized, 1.25-1.5" belt loop?  The Victorinox ones looked ok, maybe too fluffy for the cordura ones and the Zermatt and leather ones looked like they were bulky with the shoe-thick leather covers and not really sized for the 2-layer Alox models I'm carrying.  2-4 layer, sizes like that, instead of specific ranges of models for each size of sheath.

What's everyone else put their Cadet or Pioneer in?

Pocket slip pouch recommendations are welcome as well!

That seems logical, yeah, I don't believe Wenger makes any knives around the 74mm size... A Cadet might fit in the bigger sheath, though, as that's only 85mm long ;)

I don't know much about Vic sheaths, and you've probably found the Vic site, didn't you? This one looks like it might be a good one? http://www.victorinox.com/ch/product/Swiss-Army-Knives/Category/Accessories/Pouches-for-Multi-Tools/Synthetic-leather-pouch-for-pocket-knives-91mm-93mm-2-4-layers/4.0480.1

Well they came in, and the 'fullsize' sheath is actually a pretty perfect match for my Farmer!

And the Executive sized one is a perfect fit for the Executive too, plus it has this neat little loop, sized about perfectly for the chain I've been wearing mine on!

Only problem is the flaps won't close over either of the knives that fit snugly.  And the knife the large one will close over, the Cadet, is small enough that it doesn't really feel right in that sheath.

Luckily I have scissors, so game on, no flaps needed.  I cut the cover flaps off both sheaths, leaving it sort of like a sweat guard on a holster.  I'll put some pictures up later, but so far it feels like these are going to do well for me.

That's indeed what I was afraid off, the flaps not fitting, but if that doesn't bother you, good for you!  :tu:
