Any info on this Champion? I'm new to the forums and swiss knives.

It is indeed a champion, but not an original one I don't think  .  I think originally they didn't come with the magnifying glass layer with the phillips, but instead it had the phillips on the backspring that was squared.  I could very well be wrong though, it certainly wouldn't be the first time!

Both the Vic Farmer and the Wenger SI, are both awesome Sak's, the Farmer is the better of the two IMO, but you'll not be disapointed by either

Does it have the pen in the scales?  Also, what is stamped on the main blade?

You can get replacement scales that are called "plus" scales.  These have an added slot for a pen and also a pin which goes near the corkscrew.  Rotokid at sosakonline.com should be able to help you there.

I'd go for the Farmer mate, as even if you don't use the saw, the extra layer does make the Farmer fill the hand better, and make it even more comfortable
