:multi: Here it is. Thank god the display case is in one piece. The Micra was ratteling around inside the case upon opening. The ST was also loose and not seated 100% in place. >:( Not happy. I'd really hope the package had a rough trip and the USPS is to blame. Not poor LM QC for a thirty year anniversary offering. The tools have a very tight fit in the cut outs. I dont know?

None the less Im impressed with the quality of the DLC on the tools. The quality of the tools themselves are suberb. No little knicks or scratches, even with the Micra on the loose during transit. The display case is top notch and a very classy presentation of the MT's when seated in the case properly. +1 for the wall hanging option with the case. The pin and sticker are a cool little bonus. Date stamps on the ST are 1112 and Micra are 1211. Are they the same on the other 30th members tools?

Lots of pics comming

Other than the loose MT's in the case, Im more than pleased with the whole 30th package. Now all I gotta do is find a nice wall space in the den to display the new dust collector.

YAY it here in my hands  :ahhh
so just like Bensasupertool my micra and my pin were all out rattling around.  if you are gonna order this please tell the shipper to add FRAGILE HANDLE WITH CARE to the box.  the tools survived but im not happy at all.  the tools however are awesome and the presentation is very nice.  i wasn't sure if i was going to really be into having tools that i wouldn't actually touch or use but this is a keeper for sure. great collectors item for my first and now its got me wondering should i also seek out the other anniversary tools??? oh boy i really got it bad huh?
Hi My Name is Aloha007 and Im a multi ............
here are some shots of my 30th anniversary set.  thank you again MTo and Dunc because i would have never known that such killer tools existed.
and with out further ado id like to present.......

A nice set for sure. :) Mine arrived on Friday, and while there was no damage, I was a bit annoyed to see the Micra free of it's compartment and out wandering about the case on its own. >:( I wonder why all the sets seem to be like this? Could it be that the packager at Leatherman is loading the Micra in "rightside up", with the lettering facing upwards? Because the way the foam template is cut (fail) ::) this could prevent the Micra from seating all the way down in its compartment.

i believe that is the case as the foam was cut so the signature would be facing down. those rascally micras breaking loose and in my case lured the pin out too.

I was lucky , there were no loose tools in my display case. Which is a suprise considering the distance it travelled.

I am glad to be part of this particular club, not only because of the quality of these tools but also for the illustrious names on here who have also picked up a set for themselves.
By the way Aloha, your thread struck a chord with me; I've owned and used multi-tools for at least 10 years but out of the blue about 6 months ago I suddenly got the collector bug in a bad way - is this normal?! I just had to get this set as soon as it was available and I'm now researching every lead for the other anniversary sets.

J-sews,Aloha007 and I got the Friday afternoon punch out time 30th anniversary tool sets. We should name this particular tool set and give it its own thread. Then sell them for twice the MSRP as a "RARE" item. Sell them alongside all the "VINTAGE" Kicks,Fuses and Blasts I see on Ebay. I did chuckle a little upon opening the 30th package. MT's on the loose. I built it up so much in my mind, I guess it was supposed to be more than it is. Good ole Leatherman.

Glad to see other members get the set as it should be. Stray Micra or not the case and set is a very classy nod to 30 years of work. :salute:

@Billy,my collector bug turned to normal. Its ok. Just be sure to pay the utilities so we all can see what you get. :D

@Billy Ruffian,  when i registered for my account i had no idea id be buying a collectors set of tools or a 24kt rebar either but i did.  i found this place while researching a LM Wave and really had no idea,  tho i was told by a few id better watch my wallet.  i now have a few tools i wont actually use and i never thought that would be the case.  ive always said this is fun and i really like what ive bought since i joined.  i have a SOG Blacktip because of the review and because its so freaking huge ( major cool factor ), 24kt Rebar ( need i say why or more? ), 30th Anniversary set
( awesomeness ), all the rest of what i have are users.  i am going to look over the threads on the other anniversary tools and i just might get them all.

@Ben yeah we did,  i may sell mine for a bit more cause my pin was rogue in the case as well.

I just found out today from Leatherman that the 30th Anniversary set will go on sale in Canada in October. I know there were a few Canadians anxious to get their hands on these.
