You can get them in red nylon scales as well as the Stag.

I don't think you would be disappointed.    The whole thing just feels more solid and stronger than the 91mm SAK's.

There is a hole for a lanyard yes.  It's not a hollow rivet though, more just a hole drilled through the backsprings and the scales.

Although a leather lanyard of some sort would look real nice, I still can't get on with lanyards on anything.   They just dangle in the way for me.

What, just because that SAK deserves one. 

I have tried them many times and I just can't get on with them.  I know for reasons such as visability they are a great help, but for actual use I just find them a pain in the butt.

I hear you man. For me a lanyard is okay on a knife, but I can't stand using a multitool with a lanyard on it.
