Hello everyone. I've decided to sign up after lurking on here recently! Great to see lots of other people with a passion for SAK's and MT's.

I'm posting from a not so sunny England!

My love for SAK's started when my beautiful girlfriend bought me a Victorinox knife for our travels to Australia. The knife was probably the most used piece of equipment I had and was used for a multitude of tasks. From making curtains for the campervan, screwing on a loose window, opening numerous tins and bottles of beer and spreading butter it never let me down. As strange as it sounds that SAK holds dear memories and I'll never part with it despite it just being a 'object'.

Anyway I look forward to participating,

Welcome to the forum! Saks are wonderful tools! And as you know a big part of them is the memories they bring.

You are not the only one here having tools with sentimental value. Several memebers here have tools that have 'retired' after many years of fateful service, me included.  :)

Emotions often run high with multi-tools. I once threw a SAK that I was angry with into the sea.... It's complicated.

Actually it wasn't the knife I was angry with, it was the person who gave it to me. Then whenever I looked at it, I thought of that person. ....It's complicated.
