Thought I'd revive my own thread here and post my ruby red Explorer Plus...even though the scales are the ones from my Ranger originally ;)

Left side: Handyman, Tinker, Classic
Right side: Deluxe Tinker, Ruby Swisslite
Bottom: Rambler

As much as I like the Ruby scales, and I REALLY do, I still LOVE the classic red. Functional and iconic. :tu:

Nice ones Lynn :tu:  I too love the ruby scales, as well as the traditional red.  I'm not quite sure which I like better though

Great photos, Top Gear!  :tu:  Where were the German ones taken?

Those pics were taken in a small town (about 160 residents) called Beilstein, it's located next to the river Moselle, about 4 miles to the south-east of the city of Cochem.  We planned a short stop there on our way to Cochem, but ended up spending more time there than in Cochem itself, because it's a very beautiful little town.

You can find more info about Beilstein here.

Here you go. Vic Handyman & alox Rambler = a great combo for my needs.

Perhaps I shouldn't be saying such things during the Minimalist challenge

My first Old Cross Pioneer, just arrived. With a smaller friend... Had to sharpen the dings out of the awl, and the blade, and oil the heck out of it. Snaps nicely now, and shaves to boot!   :D
