Congratulations!  My first Soldier just came to me recently, it's used, heavily, but really feels good.  These alox things age well!

Which one are you getting? New or old style? Which year?

I'm getting the new one. I was torn as to which alox to get. So that's still on the list.

I have several model 1961 soldiers (and SI's) in various years and love the way they are built and feel in the hand but if I was going bushwalking or some other outdoor pursuit I'd grab my 11 dated Model 2008, probably even over a Farmer  :o

Was thinking, this thread could use a little Military grade SAK porn for the OP to drool over while waiting for his soldier to arrive. Here's my contribution..

87 Vic with hollow rivet and WK stamp, KL91 DAK, 91 Wenger SI 100 Jahre, 92 Vic with hollow rivet, 94 Vic, 97 Wenger SI, 07 Vic, undated Wenger SI.
Undated GAK, 11 Vic.
