Don't knock it until you've tried it. The Mini blade alone is enough to strike fear into the heart of demons.  ::) :D

I still remember, a number of years ago, a person named "Vampire Gerbil" mounted a Minitool on his .45 ACP as a bayonet

Sadly his web page went about 6 monthes ago. The article was hilarious, he actually gave the Micra a long article about it being used for defence.

Shouldn't this be moved to the Review section before it gets lost in the LM forum?

From what I can find the Mini-Tool patent was issued in 1988, so your's is from sometime after that I suppose.  :D

I believe that the BO  :ahhh !!!MINI!!! :ahhh I have is a pretty good tool  :D I have paired it with my Super Tinker on occassion and I have found that it has most of the tools I would ever need.  Mind you it being collectible I may have to find another as a beater but I like it :multi: :D  I like that a full sized plier head can come on such a small package

That all sounds very faimiliar.  I now have two minis, one NIB that I got from Tim and a beater from Mikko so that I can use one without feeling guilty :P

I like the fact its small enough to fit in the little of pocket of my jeans and makes an excellent companion to whichever SAK/s I have with me.

It looks like an awesome tool. It's too bad they haven't put out a newer version (or just kept the old one around). I try to think in terms of what would be the easiest/cheapest route for the company - that will usually mean using existing tooling and parts. So what current production pliers heads would be well suited for a next-generation Mini?

Juice - not full size so defeats the purpose, plus juice is already pretty small overall
Skeletool - still not fullsize but decent size, freestyle is pretty small but lacks additional tools
Wave/Rebar - maybe too big? but would be the most logical choice
Rev - I dunno, maybe
Wingman - too much love/hate

Wow, having never seen one in person, I thought the Mini was Juice sized. but it looks to be closer to the Micra In size!

Why do you think I go on all the time about the  :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh !!!MINI!!! :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh  ???

It is almost Micra sized and then folds out to a bit bigger than a PST :dd:
