Hey guys! I haven't been around for a while, but in that time I got some sweet deals at the Sacramento car swap meet. . Not the best, but for $25, pretty cool.

peaking out

original supertool!

I got it for $10, with the sheath!
Phew. That was hard to do on my phone. What do you guys think?

Hi, TMFKAMJ.

The comments could be given after the "insert image" signs, only put the image link in between two brackets. :)

Some nice finds there!  If I'd seen a useable old SuperTool for $10 or a Juice for $25 I'd certainly have grabbed them too!

Take pictures during the cleanup so we can see what you do!

Leave the dents as they are- let your belongings show their scars as proudly as you do yours.

I've actually been hiding in another hobby  :P All is fine :) I also picked up a new toy, a lathe! Me too! I'm glad I found some cool stuff, I just needed to buy something to re-find my love!

thanks! Will do, sir. It looks like there's some rust at the pivot so it might need a full disassembly, what should I use to get the rust off?

I have had good luck using baking soda after soaking it in hot soapy water and going over it with a tooth brush. You can use your finger or a rag to remove the rust with the baking soda. Don't be shy with the baking soda. You can just wash it all off after your done. After the baking soda I normally clean it again with hot water and dish soap. Dry with paper towels and hit it with the air compressor (if you have one) and let it air dry. Just how I do things. Hope this helps.

i used bonami on my recent rusty Ti Lite and it worked pretty well.  i have also used barkeeps friend as it has oxalic acid which removes rust tho i have never used it on a MT or SAK just on regular tools like screw driver and other similar stuff.  i only had bonami at the time which is why i used it instead of bk friend.  just another thought, good luck on getting the sweet ST cleaned
