Guess who?

The big clue in the picture is his hands are nearly as big as the car ... ;) :D :D

Can anyone remember which of the camel and the kangaroo I preferred? They were both good but one definitely had an edge and sadly they're melded in to each other a bit. It was the darker, coarse one.

 How the smurf should we know?  :twak:

The camel was tougher with a citrus undertone, and the roo was more tender and done in red wine and herbs ... that help?

 8) pics BTW  :tu:

Yes, it was the camel that I preferred. They were both excellent, but the camel was more excellent.

Just out of interest, did anyone use a SAK with hook as a tent peg puller?

No, but we did use Tom's Fubar.  Some of those pegs really didn't want to come out. :_c:

If nobody did, I will. I am camping in southern France right now and I have a Cybertool with me :)

Bloody good eye there Nik  :o :o or were you pre-empting that with a few posts I'd made previously ;) You must know my tool choices at least as well as me by now  :D

Funnily enough I was cooking some of the rest of the exotic next door tonight. My neighbour has got his mother over to visit for a while, and the three of us had python, salad and cous cous for starter, and then camel, kangaroo, venison sausages, hot spiced chickpea salad and mediteranean flavoured bulgar wheat to follow

Cool pics Tony  :tu: and as for the rogue creature, I was initially going to answer "Kirky" (just cos I ought to  :P) but then I remembered the noise in question and who it was eminating from .... and no it wasn't me  I think there were four of us trying to navigate our way back to our tents at some ungodly hour Sunday morning without collapsing on anyone elses  :P and we all commented on it. It was almost worth waking them up so we could give them a round of applause

...

;)

Tony said Uncle Al, my first thought was the Finn Bear but the tip wasn't right and then I remembered the Roach Belly. And yes, by now I know most members collections and tool preferences, well not only tools, flashlights too. For some reason I memorize those things. I'm betting you had a 47s aa2 on your belt or bag. :D

In a box  ;) Pocket light was the Preon Revo, (though the Sunwayman V10R got a bit of carry for a while too) and seen as I'd left both my wonderful Silva Ninox at home (dunce) I was toting a Silva coin cell headlamp and/or LED Lenser H1 for hands free illumination

To be honest I don't recall any noise (  :twak:  apart from those bloody birds at 5 in the morning) and I'm a lite sleeper

Very tricky taking pics in a downpour unfortunately :( I did take my DSLR but it stopped in the car. The only times it was dry enough I was cooking, eating, shooting or otherwise disposed. I did get a bit of vid, but it was mostly us sat round nattering and I've yet to figure out the vid editing software yet.

That is why when I go to rainy countries I allways take a waterproof camera too.

No worries, maybe someone can draw a picture of the meet   :D

Hmm... There were 8 of us that night. 4 were awake and laughing at the noise, one was being annoyed by the noise, Tony was miles away and asleep, you've implied it wasn't Kirky which leaves me. My tent was also fairly near TD's. Was I sounding like I was machine gunning an asthmatic walrus?

If so, sorry! and a bit LOL ;)
