Pallets is good  :tu:

I need to sort myself out a new tent for this actually, my old one is now in Mongolia.

sparky415: I'll pop some pallets in the back of my car which should go some way to providing some useful wood.

If you get stuck, give me a yell. I have one of those pop up 2 man tents in the shed that you can borrow for the weekend. I don't have any extra tent pegs, but that won't stop a bunch of multitool carrying wierdoes knocking a few up out of suitable sticks  ;)

So we will have remember to take some kind of wood cutting / sharpening tool that we can also use to bang pegs in with      Hmmmmmmm    :-\ :-\ :-\

What rifle are you shooting with mate?

It's a Norconia B2, just a cheap fair-ground springer.

Just watch your ft/lb-age. Heavier pellets give you more energy. Also if your using a springer,an over heavy pellet will cause too much back pressure and could damage the mainspring :B:

There should have been a grumpy old man smilie to use here

It feels nice and smooth with the 15 grain Magnums, perhaps smoother than many of my lighter pellets.
All i know is it's supposed to have a muzzle velocity of 170m/s.

B2 s arn't bad little things,but they only put out 7ft/lbs tops,but they're Apparently easy to tune :D

Try Air Arms Field 5.57s,they're like silver bullets :gimme:

I'll bring some with me to the Meet

Ok here is a picture of the tent I will bring. I won't put the bedrooms that you can see in which should give us enough room for a club house.

Tony, are you taking your Kelly Kettle, or do I need to take mine? Also, last time mine crozzled the ground a little despite being sat on a "heatproof" soldering mat. Thinking a small paving slab or similar might be a good idea

OK chaps, I've just done something crazy :nanadance:

At one of the other meets I bought an ostrich egg and a selection of exotic (to us Brits) meats for the BBQ which seemed to go down quite well  ;) so I've just placed an order for the following meats ...  :D :D

4 Pheasant breasts
48 Frogs legs
1kg Diced kangaroo steak
1kg Diced camel steak
1kg Python fillet
12 Zebra sausages
12 Llama sausages
12 Reindeer sausages

If there's any major aversions to me having done this, there's no probs - it'll sit at home in my freezer .... assuming I haven't eaten it before ;) Obviously it's not going to feed us all for the whole weekend  :P but it gives us something different to try out on the BBQ  :tu:

In fact .... is there anything on there anyone wouldn't try?

Let me know what you would/wouldn't eat I'll only bring what we need. For example if only 2 people want to try camel, there's no point in me bringing 1kg of the stuff   ;)

Cheers

MEAT IS GOOD  >:D
i'll try anything TBH , good of you to arrange it Al  :tu:
i'll pitch in if you let us know cost ? And i'll see what my local butcher can come up with, in the past he's done me some great BBQ/freezer-filler deals. Steak, lamb sausages etc ok with everyone I take it ? (vegetarians will have to bring their own !)

Money is good too  >:D

There's £100 of fancy meats there (I just kept chucking stuff in the online cart till it reached a round number  :P) and contributions would of course be accepted, but there's no contractual obligations for anyone  ;) I'll be bringing it frozen in a coolbox (once I've sorted one), so it should keep till the Saturday even if me and Mark come down on the Friday so no one misses out  :tu:

That lot should just about keep us all fed through Saturday afternoon/evening I reckon, especially if anyone wimps out  :P but if you do want to pay your butcher a visit Michael, there's Friday's food and cooked breakfast ingredients for Sat/Sun morning, maybe? Speak to Tony first though, as he's been been known to turn up with a couple of pigs worth of bacon before  ;)

We could also do with someone bringing any extras such as rice, veggies, bread, salad etc if required, not to mention essentials like milk/sugar for the cuppas
