Now for the big question: Do you think it counts as a Kukri? 

Looks like a Khukuri to me mate  how thick is the spine 

In the middle it's close to the full 8mm of the Land Cruiser leaf spring that it used to be.

Worked late again last night, handle is 99% done, it's sharpened, extremely dangerous and I will cut myself doing the last cosmetics 

Will try to post some pics lunchtime.

I was a bit stupid, paired according the the thickness of the leftover slabs of micarta rather than the colours, brown and orange should've been together and blue & green on the other side

Nice Kukri and well done!

I watched some Scholagladiatoria videos on the Kukri recenly, mostly about the notch etc, but my main take-away from this was I would really-really like at least one, proper antique Kukri some day.
