August Donation Draw- SOG Powerlock EOD!
on: August 08, 2013, 02:44:00 PM
So here we are again, late as usual!   :ahhh

But this time I'm using all the anniversary wrap up stuff as an excuse, even though that really had little to do with it.

So what's up this month?  Simple.  A SOG EOD Powerlock with V cutter in super tactical ninja black!

Don't know what that looks like?  Well tough, I don't have pictures.  Luckily the good folks at SOG do:

http://www.sogknives.com/tactical/multi-tools/powerlock-eod-2-0-fuzewell-spike-black-oxide.html

Ok, so most of us don't have much call for cap crimpers or a C4 spike, but not everyone knows that.  Just imagine how much fun you'll have at parties when someone asks what other things your bottle opener can do and you start listing off all kinds of explosive and military specific tools are on it!  I guarantee you'll always get the best parking spaces at all future parties!

What do you have to do to win this?  Simple- donate a measly ten bucks to the operational fund for this site.  That's it.  If we hit our monthly goal of $275 then we'll give this away to one lucky winner.  You can donate as much or as little as you like, but you need to donate a minimum of $10 to be included in the draw.  If you donate more than ten bucks then you'll be entered into the draw for each ten dollars you donate- for example, $20 gets you two entries, $25 gets you two entries, $40 gets you four entries and so on and so on.  It's pretty simple, but if math isn't your strong suit and you want to know how much gets you what, send J-Sews a PM and I'm sure he'll be happy to work out the math with you.  Why J-Sews?  Simple, he's retired now and has nothing better to do except enjoy that nice mansion he has on a nice big lake.  He could use the extra harassment.  Seriously.  Send him PM's with silly questions.

You can make your donation by clicking on the big orange "Make A Donation" button on the right side of your screen, or follow this link:

http://forum.multitool.org/index.php?action=treasury

You need to be of legal age in your jurisdiction, if we don't reach the goal I'll keep the prize and find some other way to give it away later, so you really don't lose much if we don't make it.  Your donation goes to site operational funds and other budgetary requirements like the massive shipping bills we recently had with all the giveaways from the Anniversary stuff last month and the repeated shipping for the MTO Challenge Coins etc, as well as investing in future projects like the afore mentioned Challenge Coins, T Shirts, giveaway items and pretty well anything else we need to cover.  I wish it were going to pay for a vacation in Fiji, but I'm not a politician so I'm morally incapable of misusing funds.  Also, if I did you wouldn't give us more and we'd be out of business, unlike politicians who simply raise taxes when they run out of your money.

Anyways, that's pretty well it- the same kind of thing as usual, me late, then rambling on to see if anyone is still reading this.  I actually have one more thing I'd like to throw in this month though, so hopefully you are.  If you win, please send me your address right away.  I haven't got the time resources necessary to chase folks down and force them to accept their free stuff, so if I don't hear from you within 30 days of announcing you as a winner I'm going to recycle the prize into some other draw some other time.  I think that sounds reasonable, doesn't it?  I have a few good prizes kicking around here gone unclaimed because no one thought to check back to this thread to see if they won.

That's it.  Are you still reading this?  If so, make sure to send J-Sews a PM with a silly question.  We don't want him suffering from work withdrawal....

We seem to be giving a lot of BO stuff lately. :D I like that. :vader:

Good luck to everyone.

I see it in my PP account- did you use the Donation button?  If you don't go through the forum to do it then it doesn't show up on the forum.

You should be added now.   :tu:

By the way, in case anyone is wondering, I don't count Paypal fees against anyone.  If you donate $20, you get two entries, even though Paypal takes their cut out of that.  Fair's fair- you gave the money, you deserve the goods.  :D

Its generous for members to send in their hard earned money.  Giving them the most we can for it is the least we can do.  :D

We're currently $5.41 above goal so this one is going to be drawn. :woohoo: Thanks to all who donated and good luck to to the ones who donated $10 or more.

There's still a week to get in on this one. Every $10 donated gets you a chance to win a nice BO SOG POWERLOCK EOD.

Blu tack your little army dudes in a tray, add a large marble or stainless ball and go 4x4 crazy.

Three cams would be good, tray carnage, road or lack of and the sexy Def offroad driver cam.

I've been trying to come up with a good way to mix offroading with the donation draw, and that's a pretty good idea.
