Part Needed For a Surge
on: August 23, 2013, 05:32:49 AM
Hello Everyone,

I Hope that I have put this in the right place in the forum.

I have a surge and somehow I have managed to loose the small retaining spring that holds the bit / bit extender in place  . Does anyone know if this is obtainable as a spare ?, or does anyone have one that may be a left over from modding a surge or a damaged one that still has the spring in it ?.

Thanks everyone :)

Take it to Zen Imports in West Ryde, they will sort it out for you.

I have a small bit driver that has the same spring.

You may also send it back to LM, they install one for sure.

Hello to you all,

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my plea for assistance :tu:.

A big hello to Metropolocity, it has been a while and great to have you reply.

Could I ask Metropolocity could you expand on "I have a small bit driver that has the same spring".

Sorry but I don't quite understand.

Thank you also Syndicate for the reply, I was unaware that there was a Leatherman agent / repairer here in Australia, I thought that it may have had to go back to the USofA, so I google them and see what they say.

Thank again guys for taking the time to reply.

G'Day Mate,

As Syndicate said, go and see the guys at Zen. I have dealt with them a lot and they are fantastic to deal with, either over the phone, or in person. A small fix like yours will be sorted while you wait. I cannot recommend them HIGH enough. They are top people with a focus on customer service. (Rare in Oz these days). I include their details:

Zen Imports Pty Ltd
Unit 8,
7-9 Rhodes St,
West Ryde NSW 2114

(02) 8878 3600

Cheers,

Pete

Hello All.

Just a short note to say thank you for sending me to Zen Imports to get my surge repaired. I also sent my PST to them as well due to loosing one of the pivot bolts.

Not only did both get fixed, but there was no charge at all, for repair and postage. :tu:.

Thanks again all for your advice and help :salute:

Leatherman is very serious about customer service and they insist that their international reps do the same.

I have seen Leatherman really dig into international reps for not looking after customers well enough and you can tell they are serious about it.
