I can't really afford one either, but these are just too special to pass up on, so I've just pulled the trigger on one! I've wanted a blackout knife for a while, and this being MTO special edition limited to 50 and it's 7th Anniversary (I like to think 7 is my lucky number) Def's photos didn't help me at all...
The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.

If you think my terrible photos are nice, wait till you see it in person.  These are truly amazing.

Plus, the DLC coating is supposed to be quite durable and all the markings are lasered on, so this knife could very well be an EDC item without worrying about ruining the special markings.

I really want to see this in person, but at the same time, I don't!   I know I would rush to a computer to buy one if I did see it in person.  :crash: After spending $300 on parts to get the Jeep safetied, and still needing to buy two tires for it, I would be shot in the head, thrown down the stairs, and kicked to the curb!  :ahhh  Well maybe not quite that bad, but it wouldn't be a good scene!  :D

Actually that's not a bad deal. I usually have to pay extra for a woman to do those things to me.... :P

Got mine today! :mail:

Except not all is well in bullfrog-land. On the spine of the blade are two large areas where there is no coating. Can't tell if it was somehow scratched off there, or was never properly coated in the first place.  :ahhh

Or so I thought. I was about to take a pic part-way through writing this, and discovered that it was actually some white substance stuck on there. Like old hardened polishing compound.  Came right off!   :tu:

Now it looks perfect. It's beautiful, makes me want to go find more Blackout stuff. I am REALLY diggin' the PVD.

Gotta say, it's my first time handling an EvoGrip, and I love it. I'm going to have to own some more in the future.

 to everyone who made this thing happen. Double   to Tim for getting it here so fast, wasn't expecting it already.
