Ok it works and from what I've read its the 6 mode version 340lm.  I like it, as if I wasn't gonna like a cool light for $6.  I posted in the flashlight thread about possibly getting into Li-ion batteries and here I am.  I think I'll get a 18650 ( Specs show I can use it ) vs the (2) cr123a's I bought.   I wonder now what world I've stepped into
I've yet to get into the fancy batteries. I'm pretty content with the CR's, AA's and AAA's but please keep us posted with whatever you decide. And excellent deal on your new-to-you torch! :salute:

I swear I get totally lucky.  I haven't been getting luck as much as I did but believe me there are some really high priced tools there too.  I had one guy try to sell me a used Vic Explorer for $80 and an Anza that new was $125 for $200.  A few sellers I don't even stop at because the have silly prices on their tools.

I especially do not like the fleamarkets here in Jax because of the vast assortment of completely useless junk they offer. I've found an awful lot of cheap-o Chinese knives and tools and if there is anything brand name they want a fortune for it.

That's the case here too.  I bought the stoves for cheap but just around the corner a guy wanted $55.  The darn thing hadn't been fired up in decades.  I see a ton of junk and they want top dollar.  I told one guy sometime old doesn't mean antique it just means OLD.

Oh that's a rule of thumbs here...

Whenever it looks like few years old they tend to say "vintage" "rare" "antique"... Whatever has any marking i.e. Swiss, Germany, Italy... It is always "top product made exclusively for European or US market...." bla bla... Then when I try to tell them it's common POS, reaction is... "No no no... Go on internet and you will see that it's gazillion $$$$ worth of ...whatever...."... Yeah right, use google guys!!

I had a great day at the fleamarket today.  I'm so giddy I cannot stand it  :ahhh, I found the stove I've been looking for but I'll post in my stove thread.

I got a Mr Pinchy and a Lansky Sharpening System both for $10.  The stones are in good condition and there was plenty of oil left as well.  The rods are straight and all parts are in great working order so I'm stoked.  I may buy the yellow fine stone and possibly the stropping one but we'll see.

Mr Pinchy will get a good cleaning as this BO tool has seen the life I'm sure.  I like thinking about the usage these tool had and the owners relation to them.  I love new tools but I am drawn to these older ones with history.

very nice!

I love how the smaller lansky sets come in the same case, so you can easily add items as you need to.

that is a sweet looking Gerber too!

I am very jealous of your flea market,  seems you have a great flea market.

I had such a busy month that I wasnt able to get tot the fleamarket as much as I'd like BUT..........
When I did go I scored a couple pretty sweet items.  First off I got a NIXON " The Player " watch in black.
I also scored an old grooved cork screw Camper.  Total set back was $4 for the Camper and $25 for the Nixon  :D.  The watch is in good condition with some slight scratches but nothing major.

Been a busy with the move and work and also slim picking at the flea market.
I did pick up a few cool things tho.
Craftsman Utility knife, Farmer, Wenger Military watch 79082, and a Vise.

The watch is in rough condition but I got it to see how well I could restore the mineral crystal.  So far its coming out great but the bezel is a bit wonky.  The spring under the bezel is giving me trouble so the bezel rotates freely 3/4's of the way then sticks.

Everything else is in good shape.

I usually haggle but when each vender said "Gimme $3"  I was like "$3 it is!".

The farmer just needed to be cleaned to bring the snap back and SNAP it did.

Especially the vise - from the pics i can only guesstimate it´s size, but it looks like a sweet vise for a drillpress.

Man, i love such old machine equipment. And without to much visible use like drillholes or other wear that way.  :tu:

Have fun.

Bye,
Michael

Its not very big 7 1/2 inches long when fully closed and 2 1/2 inches across the jaws. It is a drill press vice and in terrific shape and has such a wonderful patina.

Today I got a case for my dremel $1 and a Kershaw Shuffle $8.  I'm so happy to have my dremel stuff in one place now.
