I know Gerber doesn't get much love... But I just have to say that I recently sent a tool to them, MP700, because the rubber covers came off, fully expecting them to say something like that wasn't covered under warranty.
I sent them an email, which was replied to immediately saying to feel free to send it over.
They replaced the rubber covers pronto, (and I suspect they actually cut them by hand because the tool is quite discontinued.) They did a super job AND sent back a free sheath AND Allen key! I even called in a couple times to check up, and they answered every time, no wait. Very friendly.
I guess the similar topic in the Leatherman forum inspired me : ). Thumbs up Gerber!
