Doesn't the OHT have the same wire cutters as the ST300?

A few quick questions for you JAfromMn.

How does the length of the tools on the OHT work for you. I have been reading a lot about how short all the tools are including the blade and saw. Honestly I have been going back and forth if I should save for one, but the tools being so "stumpy" is making me second guess buying one. Just wanted to get your opinion on it. Thanks.  :tu:

I'm not sure I only have seen the oht.

 does somebody have both. ???

I'd like to see a pic if they do.

I don't think they are the same even if they have the same 154cm cutters.
The spring loaded plier head is quite a bit different I'm sure it changes how they feel when there cutting.

hey captain Il try give you some answers'

I don't think the shortness of any of the tools has ever hindered me from doing something. Its just I'm used to longer tools like the swisstool has.

they are short as they have to be to get 8 outside opening tools. :tu:

The Phillips on the oht is not a full Phillips but more like a cross between the wingman/sidekicks and a normally drive. 2.5d if that makes any sense.

I'd be more worried if I didn't carry a driver set with me.  I haven't had to use it yet because the oht couldn't get the job done.

I carry my multitool mostly for the pliers the now

i carry the oht now because it has been working so well i don't think a different tool would work better for me on the job.

there not scratched they had a bunch of aluminum lines from twisting the outside wires off a 220v cord.

no worries they look fine now. A little black oxide damage.

It was to long so I cut it down a little.

I got to thread it again but I should have it done again today.

why do I need a file. For making sharp metal ducting easier to work with and to smooth out foam.

well I shortened the file about a inch made it a bit more pointy then dropped it on the shop floor where it broke into 3 pieces.
ok I may have stepped on it a little too.

Il make a new one soon.

I'm bummed .

I am thinking I should try make a triangular file work also.

guess I will be going back to the hardware store. :)

that is what I get for trying to improve something that already works.

back to the drawing board.

wouldn't it just be easier to carry around a small file, perhaps even without a handle?
