Time to bring this thread back to the top. I am thinking of trying the nail polish trick on my silver PX.

Thinking a deep red is in store...

Ha... I'm thinking of doing the same with a Farmer I'm going to customise.  :2tu:

Somehow I feel something got lost in translation.

:pok:
Guide in this case, implies that you wrote a guide on FB, and provided a link to this thread in that guide.
At least, that's my crazy interpretation. :D

I meant that as guidelink...
A link guiding you someplace... which is what links do...

So I could've wrote just "link" too.

Yup, "FB link" would have worked fine for your purposes.  :tu: No chance for someone to mis-interpret that!

Wonder what shade of black Papercut used??

I just tried with a few shades of red, but looked too pinkish.

Seems like my spray can paint didn’t last long... paint is easly chipped after a while... Proceeded to make it look like this... with just my finger nail scratching...

I like it
I've thought of trying spray paint in hopes of getting that pocket worn look. Unfortunately there's not much one can do to achieve colored Alox with good result, save home-brewed anodizing.
I wonder how long the paint will hold up in the grooves? I'd imagine it would last, considered nothing should be rubbing in there. If so I might have a go at it. To me the greatest thing about colored alox is the battered and beaten look it gets over time.  :D

So with the release of the colored toothpicks, tweezers and corkscrew tools. It seems that Vic Forgot the color of the pen tips. So I painted all my pen tips to match the toothpick and tweezers With my girlfriend's nail Polish. I did this about 4 months ago and they held up very well over the time Riding in my Pocket. Yesterday I got a lot of 5 translucent classics, But I ran out of my color tools so I just painted the tips Of the tweezers and toothpicks. All you need is one coat and that comes out the best and glossy. You cannot put it on the sides of the tools just on the head.  Or else it doesn't fit in properly and just chips off. I know this thread hasn't been active in some time but it fits with what I did and I think people need to know about this. So if you don't know now you know. :woohoo:
