I am with you on that one. It is strange how secretive they have been with it. Besides the pictures of the packaging from the Leatherman factory, we haven't seen anything since SHOT. I don't even want the new Surge, but I am ready to have all of this years stuff out so we can get on to hopefully better things next year!I am disappointed that they removed the precision bit driver and replaced it with a small screwdriver. I was hoping leatherman would make a proper caplifter that doubled as a medium screwdriver. I hate trying to open bottles with the can opener.
The Surge is suddenly gone from the leatherman pages (look under multitools, and then heavy duty tools), and that is probably a good sign, isn't it? Getting ready to get the new one out there, don't you think? Hopefully it will be here shortly. As for the small screwdriver instead of eye-glass bit-driver, simply love it. I have been using the eye-glass driver in my charge and wave, but not often, and I have very often missed a small flat-head driver for electrical work, that could offer just a bit more reach than the bit in the same driver size. The eyeglass bit-driver should be a bit for the large bit-driver, not a stand-alone tool in my opinion.
I guess that curling tool is taking longer to get right than they expected.
