As I said before i'm good with whatever Grant want's to do and am just happy this Site/Forum exists. I think Grant has a great outlook and understanding on the matter and he has the final say in how these things are handled.

Strange, when logged in can't see some post, when logged as guest can see all. Must be tapatalk (I doubt it though)
Nm stupid tapatalk.

To clear some things up
1 @Grant  I understand the need to make money for the forum. It's not free and I get that
2 ITS NOT THE WOMEN THREAD THAT MADE ME SAY THIS
3 It was the principle that someone else (google Adsense) said that the thread was a no go because of the links and it was gone.
4 if they had said "multis or saks were offensive  then everyone would have hit the fan!
5 everyone is entitled to their opinions and this is mine.
6 Isn't it illegal in some countries, also represented here, to own lock blades, locking knives, and assisted openers? Yes so that should be locked to, to avoid someone getting unpleasant thoughts about what might be next door? That won't happen (we hope).

I'm not saying it's this thread I'm saying that if someone else tells you specifically that you can't cause "we" say so, then that in a sense, to me, defeats the entirety of the whole thing regardless of whether it's one thread or all of them. Grant has pmed me and I've responded and he did explain a few things personally which I DO UNDERSTAND! But come on, really, it's not about boobs, women, or this thread, to me anyway. This is all my opinion and if you don't like it, that's fine, you don't have to. I'm just saying its a precursor of what "they" are trying to do, and it will "shut down the forum" if we all let it blossom.

im self employed because I don't like being told what to do by anyone EVER.  that being said I have quickly realized we are all beholden/answer to someone,  ALL OF US.

I get the annoyance in terms of not wanting the MAN to have any say in how this place is run but I COMPLETELY agree and appreciate what decisions Grant has made.  I would have done the exact same thing and actually not said a darn thing to the members as i don't like to answer to anyone as i said.  Grant has totally the most killer approach to this and i respect him for it.

I think we can all agree that's NONE of us came here for T and A,  we can here to share of love of Multitools and cools arse gear of all makes.  some of us have become "family" and i see so much awesome conversation it make me check this place very often and id be bummed if this place due to financial strain had to shut its doors.   the women thread become a popular thread and i can understand why but to think we would loose say the Gerber thread in a similar manner is just, well i don't think so.  we do have young members and its nice they can come here and look over exceptional information and some of the most amazing collections without the other BS.  heck i censure my kids as much as i can so knowing there are some cools kids that dig MT's and SAKs i may have shut down the women thread long ago if it were up to me.

i think the mods were very lenient on what was allowed honestly.  im no prude by any stretch heck i posted a couple great shots of a g sting bikini clad lady myself.  we don't have to agree on why it was taken away we should however rally that the boss man has kept ownership of this site and not sold it off then we'd really have issues.

id like the clown in skates link BTW

Thank you Mr Whippy.
@sawman if Google said you couldn't post any pics or more info on multis or saks what would you say then? I would say the same thing as you  on that, believe it. And as far as I know, and I do know this for a fact!, if that did happen Grant would tell them to kiss his well you know ;). And it's all precursors to stuff we don't yet see :(. I know some of y'all may see it and some don't and either way you are all still my family, whether you want to be or not!

Steve, (the tattooed one ;) ) I'm thinking you're blowing this WAY out of proportion and for all the wrong reasons.

Google just reminded us of our own rule of keeping it a family friendly forum, and pictures of scantily clad women don't fall under this category and never have. They aren't forcing us to bow to our masters ::) just reminding us we're breaking our own rules. Tell me you'd feel comfortable if your son walked in the room while you were looking at that thread with women in their underwear. ;) "Just checking the new tools, son."

Honestly I don't see a reason why you even bumped this thread after it had been forgotten for two weeks. No one missed it in that time.

No rules have changed. These are the same rules that were here when both of us joined. No politics, no religion, keeping it family friendly. Name me any other forum where the rules fit inside a single sentence.

So much fuss about a thread where you had less than a dozen posts 3 of which you deleted yourself (says deleted by user ;) ) and one that was deleted by photobucket.  :-\

Nope I didn't delete any photobucket photos. I'm looking for a new photo host as several of my good pics got deleted "by me" yet I didn't delete any ??? Oh well things are better now so it's cool. I'd defend this forum hell and then some. I'm dedicated it's just I get discouraged.

For what it's worth Steve, I see what you are saying- give them an inch and they'll take a mile.  Make one compromise today, then another tomorrow and another the day after that and sooner or later there's not much left.  I get it.  I really do.

The fact is though that we all make compromises.  For example, you'd probably like to do nothing but spend every day looking after your kids, doing cool things with them and so on, but someone has to work, make the money and pay the bills.

This is one time we are giving in because it means more to us to do so than to fight it.  If they said because locking knives are bad because they are illegal in some places, then tough crap, we'd have to find some other funding medium.  And we would.  MTO members are survivors and we'd find a way to keep the forum going even if it meant we had to move everything to a FB group or something.  We'd find a way.

Had to laugh when I logged on earlier. All this between google and the women thread and then right there in the right column was an ad stating men need only apply for some game!! Showing some model dressed provocatively.... Pot, Kettle, Black springs to mind!
Personally I find all this scantily clad marketing aimed at men pretty offensive. Do they really think I'm going to fall for that, same with tyres, exhaust pipes, tools etc etc. Its about time they realized not all males listen to their testicles!

I agree with most on here - I truly detest google. I simply do not trust them. I NEVER use online banking with their browser.
I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.

I want to publicly apologize for all this. It's a principle thing and I get carried away. I've been under too much stress with a lot of things and I don't mean to take it out on all the people here :(. Today I found an old friend and learned that another good friend passed away last year, so I'm totally exhausted emotionally :(. So if I'm not around for awhile then please know that all my "family" here are in my thoughts.

hey TATT,

you are very much entitled to your opinion and I for one appreciate it.  we aren't robots here and this forum is great in that we can express ourselves without being banned and edited.  I am so sorry to hear your news and I think we all understand the principle you were expressing.

hell no one likes a good fight more than me, shoot I fought for a year with a certain district to get my way and eventually I got it.  please take care and know that we are family and while we may not agree at times we are no less family as a result.  my sincere condolences to the families and to you sir.
