[SOLD] plk7's garage sale: Syph007, Michael Morris, Seiko
on: September 18, 2013, 04:06:05 PM
Welcome to my sales thread. I want to use this first post to go over some points. I reserve the right to amend any of these items in the future:

·I prefer communication via pm, instead of my email, for questions/clarifications. I am more than happy to consider what I deem to be reasonable offers. I might be willing to consider discounts if more than one item is purchased from the same individual. The first “I’ll take it” gets it.
·If you say that you will take an item, I request that you pay for it within 24 hours, please. I prefer PayPal for payment and will provide you with my PayPal address. If you are unable to do so, I will move on.
·My asking prices include shipping plus insurance costs for the United States and Canada. I usually ship via USPS. I am willing to ship elsewhere on a case-by-case basis for an additional shipping charge. I will ship on the next business day, latest, after receiving payment.

I have had several deals on MTO (some with well-known members), and can provide references, if that is a concern.

Thank you for looking!

Syph007 custom 93mm alox SAK

Received this in February of this year (2/13). I'm assuming many people here are familiar with his outstanding work.

It started its life a Pioneer. Syph007 removed the awl, and the openers and added: a small blade, 91mm SAK scissors, and anodized scales. It has been used sparingly, and is in outstanding condition. I used the small blade the most, usually for opening packages. I used the scissors very infrequently, and I can’t remember ever using the large blade.

I would like $85 for this item.

Michael Morris File Necker

Many people have friction folders from Michael, a great guy who has been making fantastic knives out of files for a while, and full-time for about four years (as per his website).

This file necker is a little over 6” long, with slightly more than a 2.5” cutting edge. Michael marks all of his knives with a date. You will notice that this one is dated June 9, 2012 (060912). The knife was actually made and shipped to me in August of this year (8/13). I requested the 2012 date because this is my twins’ birthday. (I can prove this via emails between Michael and I, if anyone wants proof.)

You will notice that there is discoloration on the back of the knife. This was due to rust. My wife was doing some cleaning and placed the knife in a container, that unbeknownst to her, had a small amount of water in the base. She didn’t know that this wasn’t a stainless knife. If you are willing to overlook that, the blade is very, very sharp. In fact, the blade is unused. The knife comes with the Kydex sheath (from Michael) as pictured.

Michael’s neckers run for about $65. Given the issues with the tang, I would like $35 for this item.

Seiko SGFA03 quartz watch with leather band

I received this watch in August of 2010. It would make a great dress watch, and is versatile enough to be worn with jeans and t-shirt. I have worn it carefully no more than 10 times total. The strap shows signs of the aforementioned wear, but is in good condition. The case is 38mm, and is free of major scratches; there are just a few hairlines on the bezel. The crystal (mineral glass) appears flawless to my eyes.  The dial is a lovely shade of blue. The battery is dead and will need to be replaced. Comes with the box, pillow, hang tag, and papers.

I am asking $40 for this watch.
