two headed flip tool ??????
on: September 25, 2013, 09:47:29 PM
Hi

I'd like to learn something since I'm home not working today.

any info on these flip style tools.

I've had the larger pliers for about 5 years. I picked them up on some job site .
the smaller set I found at a yard sale this spring.

anyone know anything about them. I don't know a thing except I think there a neat tool. I'm tempted to put them away if there older or sort of rare.

I'm doubting there very rare or old. I'd just like to know something about them
also is there more styles or do they only have the two.

thanks
joel

I don't have any info on those particular tools, but I have seen the same type of tool before.

Kronus Flipgrip Pliers have a similar look and the Flipgrip multitool has similar functionality (that looks nothing like these tools).

I've got the bottom one - needlenose/grips. I'm pretty certain they're still available. As for the brand name...... could be Kamasa.
Mine are in my toolbox. They've saved my ass more times than I care to remember. Unfortunately toolbox is away on vacation (mates borrowed it )

I'd certainly buy the top one, if ever it came my way.

I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.

A little f.y.i.

I use all the tools I own .

I just don't use my old tools from my collection at work.

I use them for my handy man weekend jobs.

I appreciate tools more if I use them. I tried collecting something's while keeping them mint and it brought me no enjoyment.

using a tool is the fun part of ownership. To me anyway :)

I can understand the approach - I trade/sell/give away tools and stuff I don´t use and use what I keep.
And I don´t know anything about those pliers, too. Neat find. :tu:

I have a set like that, but they might look different. Haven't seen them in a while. I'll take a pic if I find them.

If you look at the pivot point there's a plastic s like symbol.

I don't think there from cost co .

we don't have them up here. North Minnesota.

I could well be wrong on the 'cost-co' and I may have had them longer than I said  I've given it some thought, the brain/memory isn't what it used to be  ::) so I asked the 'wife', she was just plain mean and said i'm "too cheep to buy tools from cost-co" and "you've had them for ages you silly old fool !" wish i'd kept my mouth shut now  when will I learn ???

I forgot I have the bigger one in the Jeep, but I'm not sure where I have the smaller one stashed.
