Question for Derekmac or any others who have lived with this mod for a while...how has it worked out long term? Have you found that the scissors slide front-to-back when using the MUT (particularly when hammering)? Real close to pulling the trigger on a MUT and hearing that the scissors have worked out long term may be the final straw. Thanks.

Well, that settles it! Getting a MUT!!
Sharpen it and use it as an big awl, that's the only thing still missing!Or, perhaps something to make changeble saws, that Ahold be great to. I like a good metalsaw!..
Well I decided that I wanted to have my tweezers, so I did the tweezers mod!I used the blade on my TTi to make the marks where the material needed to be removed.I used the blade and the file to give me the room I needed. And the end result. Now to figure out what to do next...
The scissors now takes one of the places of one of the long bits.
Could J-Sews or anyone expound a bit on the dyeing process. Do you boil then add the RIT to the boiling water and if so, for how long? Sorry if this was a stupid question but I want to do this to my MUT and since this tool was gifted to me by the MTO membership, it is one of my most prized possessions and will be with me forever. Already ordered the Swiss scissors for that mod, now I just want to make sure I get the rest of the process right. Thanks in advance.Loyalty,Stew...
