Another Wave
on: October 04, 2013, 05:20:48 AM
Found a new version of the wave in a pawnshop yesterday whilst out and about but couldn't justify buying it since I have an older version and a few other knives/multitools.  They wanted $33.50 (tax in) and it was in good shape.  Anyway I figured my brother in law could use one so bought it today.  It has a non leatherman sheath and I'm sure he will be happy with it.  It'll be for his birthday and Christmas.  Just needs a little bit of cleaning and lubing and it will be as good as new.

When you say "new version" what do you mean?
God made man but Samuel Colt made them equal.

Why don't you just buy him a Wingman for $20?

The Wave is good for anyone that needs a durable medium size multi-tool.  :D

It is stamped 03/11 (march 2011) and has the bit holder with one double ended removable bit and some other changes such as the locking method for the blades (compared to mine which was made in 2000).  I really like the wave as it's a solid tool and includes pretty much everything that I would ever need - plus scissors which I find extremely handy.  I didn't even think of getting a wingman (they are a bit more than $20 in this area).  I see that the wingman has scissors also - seems like a nice tool.
