I opened a can last night, it worked fine. I held the SAK in my left hand, pointed to the right, and opened the can counterclockwise. No problem. :)

This is how I use the watch/coin/fifth pocket to carry victorinox farmer:

I added a short lanyard in place of split ring so I can get the sak out of the sheath. The sheath is attached to the belt loop with the black lanyard so I dont loose it.

The fact that half of the sheath sticks out of the pocket actually improves mobility...

I carry all my knives loose in my pocket. Some heavier SKAs I carry in the Vic belt clip:

Usually I use the clip to carry my Gerber Artifact and SwissTech 19-in-1, plus a Rolson flashlight. Not much room for a SAK, too, so I have carried lighter ones lately.

Oh wow, I've never seen that before. I may look into that.

Always right front pocket, the only ringless that I have are my Soldiers and my Hikers which I ground off as they are my whittlers. I also use the Vic pouch that has the clip on it because I don't usually wear a belt.

I think Victorinox stoped making these. Try looking for it online or in some local shop...

Southpaw, ha? :D We once did a poll and we have quite a big percentage of southpaws here. Over a third I think.

It sits very nicely next to the wallet. It will drop to the bottom when you remove your wallet but it's easy to just realign it when you put the wallet back in without taking it out of your pocket. :tu:

This is what I do with my full size MTs.  Sometimes it interferes with the wallet (space and realigning when putting the wallet back) depending on the tool and the particular pair of pants, but works well for the most part.  As for the SAKs, I typically carry them in the change pocket within the right front pocket.  In jeans though, I use the 5th pocket right above the RFP.

All of mine have a keyring, which I like for attaching a Photon Freedom Micro light.  I will agree that I prefer the smoothness of not having one (like my Alox Electrician did) as they can be uncomfortable in the palm.

They still have some in stock in Grand Prairie Knives. I was just in the other day and they had them. Good prices on everything too.

Watch pocket, coin pocket, mobile pocket? What kind of hipster pants are you guys wearing?

:P

watch pocket, coin pocket and fifth pocket are different names for the same pocket. The small one located above the right pocket on every pair of jeans and also on most other pants/trousers except slacks. :D

Ooh! You mean the lighter pocket?

Not if you've ever put an overfilled Zippo in there...   :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh

Trust me you only do it once, and the skin does grow back... eventually.
