While the BossLady and I were in Seattle for a family wedding, we came across a vendor at Pike Place market would made unique knives:(Image removed from quote.)The blade is obsidian (pretty common volcanic glass in Eastern Oregon and Washington), with a handle made from a cougar jaw. I asked if it was a cast, or manufactured copy of a cougar jaw and she said, "No, we purchase these bones from legal sources--cougar, bear, deer, elk and moose"Doubt it will be EDC any time soon, though.

Interesting looking. How is it attached to the handle? Looks wrapped and then like some kind of resin.
I think the traditional method is glue with pine resin mixed with charcoal, then wrapped with sinew with more resin on top to waterproof. The blade color is interesting, I always thought obsidians are more glassy looking.
