Victorinox Serrations?
on: May 11, 2008, 04:56:13 PM
I used my STD. SwissTool to get the boat ready to organize the boat for next Saturday. I noticed that the serrations get deformed easily! I cut some rubber tubing and the serrations are barely pointy anymore. I am pretty pissed!

I can't say I have ever had any problems with Vic's serrations, but I only have a OHT which might be different from the Swisstool ???  Infact, I think that the serrations on the OHT are great as they don't snag on anything.
I'm back!!

I've always found Vic serrations one of the best . As Ben said they dont snag .I'm very surprised you rounded off the serrations  ??? To be honest with you I dont think Victorinox is the brand for you . I think you try to like them but deep down you prefer Leatherman  :pok:

Heres a little rope cutting video I done with my RS

I folded over a single serration on my OHT the other day (hard use).
I think that you like/love Leatherman so much that you find any and all reasons to dislike other brands.
I know how you feel, everytime I get a new multi tool I compare it to my Swiss Tool and it never fails I like the Swiss Tool better.
Maybe you should just stick to Leatherman, you will probably be happier.

Yeah, the SURGE is for me.. But, I really do like the SwissTools. I recently squared off the drivers on a bench grinder also.. Well, on my beater Swisstool!

Dunc , to quote Darth Vader "Impressive, most impressive". I hope you had some use for all those bits of rope.I think your RS has already turned to the dark side.

I have taken the oints of my serrated blade but it is still a great cutter. I keeps cutting and cutting. I like the swiss tool blade a lot.
