I really want to try flatbands.

Ive gotten pretty accurate with my Barnett Cobra with Heavey Black bands but the Cobra is a bit cumbersome to carry on a long walk.

You can get slingshots that handle both tubular and flatbands mate

40 $ for such a Slingshoot isnt that expensive i feard, at least for the Scout 2 on this Side postet in this threadt..
I also watch Joerg Spraeves Sling Shoot Chanel often as its quite entertainment..
And its interesting to see, what you can make just from som wood and its also legal in Germany...
Mybe i wants to buy me also a normal Slingshoot, just to play whit it but not yet

A Slingshoot is, like a Knife, no Weapon, but a Sport Gerät, so never shoot at something that Lives like Humans, or Kittens, because this would bring bad puplicity to the Slingshoot Hobby...
(And it might harm they..)
If you wants to shoot something on peaple, use Paperballs...

Have you tried this stuff? http://www.greenfingers.com/product.asp?dept_id=200796&pf_id=LS3465D  Seems to get mixed reviews but it worked wonders for me.  I suppose it depends on just how brave the problem cat is.

It only shoots about 10m, but for a 5year old that is plenty fun.

- Can of hasbrown (this one was expired for over 50 years and round as a ball), exploded quite violently on impact.
- Firework (self made), greatest success was a half liter sized smoke grenade

Anything, really as long as it is not something boring like a patatoe

We used red inner tubes to make slingshots, normal black ones are useless.

My slingshot was an integral part of my life throughout childhood, once took out the rear window of a 3-series BMW,  more birds than I can count, and a lot in between

Here are a couple of photos of my big slingshot.  It is designed for launching tennis balls for dogs, but as I don't have dogs that can play like that currently (Daisy is getting a bit old to run that far and Jackson doesn't feel the need to return) I have claimed it for my own nefarious purposes.....
