Been going back and forth between getting alox mini champ or Pioneer X next....and leaning toward the Mini Champ. Is LCSAS the only red one currently available?

I like that stayglow one too! Might just go for non alox so I can swap scales and choose between T&T, pen and LED.

Cool little champs! With one of these on my keys I'm more likely to give my 2-layer 91s and 93s more pocket time.

I love how these look when they're worn evenly like that! Problem is, on Amazon.com silver is $35 and red is $120 USD.  May just go with cellidor...

EDIT: saw the LCSAS red alox for $57 shipped, but I was frugal and just got this blue one with tweazers/pen.

Yes the LCSAS minichamp is the only red one available with the LCSAS logo (white Swiss crosses) and you can find it on ebay in Swiss stores for $67.

But you can find (also on ebay) other minichamp red or black without logo in Russian stores for $65.

I can understand why people wouldn't want to carry a SwissChamp, or a WorkChamp. Large, bulky, heavy etc.

But there's no such excuse for not carrrying a MiniChamp. In fact, I'm carrying two!

I carry the alox MC on my belt in a brown leather sheath (Victorinox article no. 4.0532). The red one is on my keychain. I used to carry a Classic in the sheath. However, the sheath was too large for a Classic, and not large enough to fit a regular MC.

I carried a classic on my keychain for 36 years until discovering the MiniChamp.  Since then, I have kept a hunter green MiniChamp II on one keychain and a red Minichamp II on the other. Although I am very much drawn to the spectacular look of the Alox MiniChamp, I can't bring myself to give up the pen and the tweezers. It is probably out of habit since it has been some time since I have utilized tweezers outside the home and I also carry a bullet space pen in my watch pocket.

Thanks for sharing!

Been using mine heavily since purchase. Super handy. Haven't used my Rover as much since I've been using the pen and "emergency" blade (aka package opening blade) so much. Haven't used the ruler or cuticle spoony thingy yet though. :tu:

I always have a Minichamp on my keychain and I rotate among these two...

Here are other Minichamps in my collection...

I'm certain I have the Minichamp I as well... just need to remember where I stashed it...

A nice one for the glove compartment of your F16. Supposedly, the lack of a beer opener guarantees a safe flight.

Here I was thinking that I had plenty of Minichamps at 3 (2 Minichamp II & 1 Minichamp I)...I almost purchased an Alox today but talked myself out of it.  After seeing your family photo, I'm inspired to rethink things.  Your "family" photo is a great idea!

My original rides on my necklace along with a compass, maglight solitaire, and ferro-rod.

I have been wearing a small SAK and light in this manner since 97. Origonaly it was a Wenger Esquire and a Beta light. I rebuild the necklace as needed for comfort and to replace the cord regularly. Keeping tarnish off  the brass liners is a constant task , but this is still my favorite set yet.

Wow, this is a great thread. I didn't know the Mini Champ got so much love!
I've got a MiniChamp II somewhere, but people I know don't like it as much as I do.
Maybe because it's so small. Yet it's very versatile, I had it laying on my desk and use it for all kind of stuff.
I wrote I have one somewhere because it got lost during the move, must be in one of the unpacked boxes.

By the way, I read that the CyberTool series were made for people working on computers. Well, the MiniChamp was my original CyberTool. I took apart and rebuild many PCs with this SAK.
