After carrying a 4-layer SAK, it feels like I'm not carrying a SAK when I have had this Mini my pocket the last two days.
I was going to carry the MiniChamp to the dentist tomorrow, but I'm going to have to go with my 4-layer for security.  :climber:  :ahhh

I can relate to wanting to carry the 4-layer SAK...it does give you more confidence. :D

The Mini is nice because it is light enough that it can be carried in addition to another knife. It fits nicely in the watch pocket of a pair of jeans. :cheers:

I'm working on a little collection of MiniChamps and I am finding out that the XL is going to be the hardest to obtain.
But to my question, I was looking in the SAKWiki and I'm curious if there should be a distinction between the two pen variants.
Both pens are in the scales, but they are as follows:

1) Retractable with the grey sliding lever.
2) Removable, no lever.

Edit: I'm noticing on this Signature model page, it's just one line that states: Retractable or Removable pen.

I have 2 Mini Champs with the retractable pen....you can open the cuticle pusher to extend  the handle to make it easier to write.

Is there a way to tell the difference between a Victorinox Silver Alox MiniChamp and a SwissBianco version from 2011?  I think mine is a SwissBianco, but I cannot be sure, my order is on an older computer.
Mine does not have the word Victorinox on the plate on the back, it's just blank.

Maybe there is missing to get it completed a Minichamp with removable pen, as first versions of Minichamp II didn't have the retractable pen.
