What does the minichamp xl have over the regular? I see the two-pronged thing, but what is it? Also, it looks like a third blade? Or is that something else?

Charles.
The two other tools are the two-pronged divot tool and then that one that looks like a blade is another nail file, but the type with slanted grooves like in the bigger knives.
Rest in peace ColoSwiss, you will always be remembered.

FB amazing collection. :like:
Congratulations.
Maybe there is missing to get it completed a Minichamp with removable pen, as first versions of Minichamp II didn't have the retractable pen.
Thank you Koke!
I did have a removable pen, but it is in my 8 tool one.   It came that way, but I bought it used.  Should it be in a 7 tool version?

:tu: I think it is correct 8 tool one, one tool is not open in the picture. I'll take closer pics later in the evening.
Mine is not NIB either  :(

I know a store next to my hometown where a Minichamp XL lives ...
I'm trying to press the guy to sell it to me but he knows it's a rare bird and doesn't want to let it go.

Oh, that is good to know it is supposed to be in the 8 tool one.
WOW, yes I would be over there asking him at what price he would let it go.  Some people have a price, some people don't and they rather keep it.  You have to ask.
Is it in a box?

I love my minichamp. Got it used on eBay for not a lot of money, and it's in really good shape. It FEELS like a pocket knife. The little thin SD things feel like toys, but the minichamp feels like a little brother to my Troubleshooter. I use the orange peeler all the time to open plastic around bottles or to actually peel oranges, but I never use the cocaine spoon. Everything else I see usefulness for, and have used regularly. Overall I'm really happy with the little thing. One question though... when the pen ink runs out, is there a replacement pen available anywhere?

Charles.

Hey, FB sorry for the late reply.
Here it is my MiniC. removable pen version. 8 tool

I was wrong, the one who's is not NIB is the original MiniC.

And about the XL, I don't know if it is in a box. He didn't show it
I'm in his store every two weeks :pok: but he doesn't decide to sell it, I'll ask him about the box.

I purchased a used MiniChamp and it came with a broken pen part, so I swapped out the scales to ones that had a removable pen.
I was wondering why the pen would push right back in when I began to write.  This part is suppose to lay flat, but it had been broken:

Here are the new scales on it (back side has advertising):

Among some other MiniChamps, the left one is a Modded one:

Barry, from my understanding the cellidor scales only come in Ruby, Sapphire and Red from the factory for the MiniChamp.
Any other variations (like the ones I show), are scale swaps from the Classic versions.
I hope Victorinox doesn't sell LE MiniChamps because my bank account would suffer.

MiniChamp update.  The XL is the red one in the middle.  The only one that isn't a MiniChamp is the top one with Dragonfly scales it's a Vagabond (lovingly referred to as Dragabond).

Something I love about the MiniChamp is just how much more meat there is than bun:

Thanks Lisa!  I never thought about it, but scale swapping would be a lot of fun with the Mini Champ!  I'm actually surprised that Vic hasn't done at least one LE  :D
