Thought I'd give one of these a go. It's very cute and small enough to live in my wallet.
Not really found much use for it in the few months of ownership/carriage, but time will tell.

Love the pen!!  I've sold more people on SAKs with that pen than anything else!

It's a great complement to a larger SAK for fine, precision work. And the two small screwdrivers have dealt with innumerable small battery compartment screws and stubborn batteries. The cuticle pusher also makes a decent larger slotted screwdriver in a pinch. The cut and picker blades works well for cutting open plastic blister packs or for peeling oranges.

And the hex bit coupler I carry fits on the combo tool with a small shim.

I absolutely love mine, living on that neck-strap I got a few days ago, as Steve said it's a perfect compliment to it's big brother, the Swisschamp !  :tu:
Or any other SAK, let's be honest ! I use mine to open those tough aluminium like med tabs, or to cut some packages open... me likes me likes

Happy New Year, everyone.

I'm quite happy to have my MiniChamps in my pockets, today, after carrying an Executive during the Chuck Yeager challenge during December.

What kind of neck strap did you get?  I usually go with a piece of scrap paracord.

Used the MiniChamp today to remove some batteries from the "downstairs" Christmas lights before storage :tu:

In the end there was 25 (some found after pics were taken  ::):ahhh
I still have the "upstairs" ones to do but I've lost the will to live at the moment  :surrender:

While I really like the idea of the Alox MC, I like having the pen more.  I also enjoy having the tweezers so no Alox MC for me.  Its a chubby little SAK but in perspective its not bad at all.  YMMV.

Width wise the cellidor Minichamp compares with the PTC.
It's the length of the Minichamp that makes it nice on the keychain.  The Alox is thin enough that you barely notice it there.  I do like the pen though!

After reading all 22 pages of this topic I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s quite silly that I don’t own a minichamp

Given that you can generally find them for under £30.... yes, quite silly. Even if it's just to have one, it's probably worth it!

The Mini Champ is like the Swiss Champ - every Swiss Army Knight should have (at least) one.

Yes, it's big for a 58mm, but really small for everything it can do. Some of the odder blades do come in very handy at times.

And if you don't like having to choose between toothpick and tweezers, mod it.

Thank you, guys. I know some of you have seen it before.

I still carry it everyday as part of my EDC and am still pleased with the work I did. Even without my mod, it's a remarkably capable small piece of kit.

My better half is certain that I have a problem because I just got another MiniChamp on order.

I tried.
Really I did.

After I got my last Alox, back in September, I haven't ordered another one until yesterday.

You know, she may be right...
but it's a good problem to have.  😎

She's actually bought me 2 so far.  She's not a knife person so I was impressed.  😃
