Artamidae tools
on: September 23, 2013, 01:03:07 PM
A friend / ex-colleague of mine is a big Atwood fan and has decided to give making his own one-piece tools a crack.

He's got a few prototypes up on his facebook page - I'm sure the fine folks here at MT.o would appreciate them.

I was just looking at those.  They are kind of neat looking.  I didn't see a price though.

$30 AUD for the prototypes - I'm not sure about future pricing

I think at this stage he's practicing his skills and perfecting methods than trying to make a bunch of different designs. I'm sure there are more in a sketchbook somewhere ;)

Looks good but i'd like to see the edges chamfered for comfort.

I bought one of the prototypes... I haven't found it too uncomfortable - but yes, it would help.

I've also modified the "tooth" on mine to give it a sharper inner edge - it'll now bust open a can and makes opening boxes and packaging a dream.
