Thanks amigos! Both where not planned. I stumbled into the 2013 one in a shop, and could not pass on it once I had it n my hands. 2 Weeks later I was pointed to the modded 2010 with a bargain price, and it would be a sin to pass on that one to. And just before those 2 I ordered a custom that was rather pricey. When I get that custom in a couple of months, I expect to see some jaws drop.  :D Those 3 are the main reason why I am now on a knife diet. My wallet is so thin it looks anorexic.

I was thinking something cybertool layer + ALOX. Now you got me interested. :D

Ah, I might know. Is it from the Swiss guy who doesn't like SAKs? ;)  (I haven't been to EDCF in months so I don't know what's going on there but I did remember that Swiss guy made some nice stuff.)

My travel EDC for the last 5 days. I went for the lightweight approach, and for older gear that - if removed from my suitcase by some snooping person - could be replaced fairly easy. The outcome: Leatherman! Skeletool and Style CS co-co-combo for the win. + I had the Skeletool sharpened by a professional sharpener in a knifeshop in Galicia (the north of Span). It splits hairs now.

Cheers Enki! I painted it black, and then wiped it clean again before it dried, resulting in all pores and the signature being black, where it was brown originally. I am still looking at a transparent black/dark grey treatment that would show the oak grain trough. I like it more and more...

The Explorer SAK is pretty sweet featured be default, but with the Damasteel blade added, I am lost for words. It actually pushed my EDC Alox out my pocket for well over a month now.(ok, there are exceptions) And I'm not using it in a sheath as I carry my Alox, and I don't have a care for scratches or dings. Its freakin oak! Great true EDC purchase.
