For Thanksgiving, a motorcycle ride.
on: October 14, 2013, 07:06:59 PM
Man oh man, it is almost time to winterize the bike and get it ready for another season. This morning, being a holiday, and the weather was nice enough, I decided to go out on the motorcycle. Problem is, at 8 am it was only 5 degrees. My thin leather gloves did nothing to protect the tips from feeling a deep cold. Nothing frostbit inducing, but it was a tad uncomfortable. I decided to use my cell phone's camera. Sorry, plenty of shots of my motorcycle.

Here I am after driving across the city to Bellevue Park. The fog lend the area a nice moody counterpoint. You would never know it, but out there is St. Mary's river.

Then I drove across town westards until I hit Gros Cap. As I mentioned before, this area is beautiful and a nice 30 minute drive on 80km roads and slow twisting country roads. I stopped at the roundabout in Gros Cap and snapped a few shots.

On the way back, stopped for a nice hearty breakfast at the Donut Stop. All in all, not a bad way to spend part of the holiday.  :tu:

I am not a motorcycle owner, but it sure looks like fun

Great scenery and a beautiful bike. I'm sure it was a blast.  :tu:

The main question is...... what tool did you take with you.

I'm the milk man!

Nothing better than a nice scenery after a good ride

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

That I did. I was hoping for nice weather this weekend to take it out for one last time, but it looks like mother nature has something else in mind.  :)

I can assure you we have nothing near that beautiful of scenery here in sunny Florida. Nothing but high temperatures, palm trees and searing blinding brightness here.

Thanks for your photos, they remind me of a better place  :salute:
