The mail man brought me a surprise today! It came from JAfromMN. I tried to show some restraint and wait until after dinner to open it, but obviously that didn't work. So, what did I find inside?? A kick ass assortment of useful EDC items! There is a bandana, a nice little Nebo light, a way cool key chain bottle opener key with a clip and awesome paracord key chain, and a CRKT Guppie! I'm very excited to carry all this new tomorrow! Thank you again Joel, Merry Christmas!

I went to the PO today and a wonderful surprise came all the way from New Jersey.  Thank you very much for the wonderful gifts I am super stoked.  First off I finally got a Silver Tech SAK and it is pretty killer looking and it's also my first climber.  I'm a big fan of Kershaw so that has found a home with my other Kershaws.  I actually have more Wengers than Vics so I was stoked to get another and a Evo to boot.  Last but not least I am really digging the Rough Rider knife, I don't know what its called but I really like it a lot.  The secondary blade/tool is neat and locks up which is pretty killer.  I am gonna carry this on my off day as its so different from anything I have.  Thank you very much JD I am so happy to have received these great items.

Great!  Glad it got to you safely this time!  :)  The Kershaw is a Crown, the Wenger is an Evo17, and the RR is an electrician's knife.  That particular pattern I like a lot, a Camillus TL-29 similiar to that is a regular carry knife for me.  They're pretty neat.  How often do you see a knife with a slipjoint blade but a liner locking screwdriver?   Enjoy the new toys!  :tu:

Electrician huh?  I like it a lot and haven't put it down yet.  I don't have any other knives anywhere near that pattern and yes the liner lock second blade is super neat.  Again many thanks for such great gifts I'm feeling super stoked JD  :salute:

That's awesome I'm so happy its getting pocket time.  The recruit was my first SAK and my daily carry for a while till I got my Wenger S10.  I knew you traveled a lot by looking thru your posts and when I saw that case I envisioned you using it for toiletries however what a great re purposing of it.

I forgot my pics  :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

So, here's my fantastic pics of the gift Etherealicer send me. Certainly different :)

It did cut me the first time I played with it, really quite a sharp blade, partly due to the really thin blade stock, I think. Besides that, I had to chuckle about the fact that it has a fork....

There is some kind of locking system, which allows the implements to only turn to one side, you have to turn it all the way around to close the implements.

I had to chuckle about the fork, a bit, seems like it would work well enough, I suppose.

The "flat screwdriver" on the end of the bottleopener seems quite useless due to the way it's rounded off on every side, and the fact the steel really is pretty thin :P

Besides that, like I said, it certainly is different, and I do somehow like it, though I'm not sure if I'll dare to actually carry it some day... :-[ ::)
