Why don't you get rid of the desk and buy some more pockets?

My top 5 (in no particular order and not including Spirit):
Alox Minichamp; Unmatched usefulness at that size, cool looking
Executive: You can solve 99% of a gentleman's life’s problems,so slim, light and  dressy
Wenger S557: Wenger’s best offering. Scissors, Saw, Pliers and a locking blade, nothing else needed
OHO Trekker: great for outdoors, and the absolute perfect companion to any plier-based MT.
Swiss Champ: the king, the do it all pocket toolbox.
My toys:

MTs: Surge (2x), Skeletool CX, Rebar, Blast, Fuse, Micra, Squirt (3x), Wave, Crunch, Mini, Spirit (2x), Pro Scout, MP700 (2x), Diesel, Powerlock, PowerPlier (2x), PocketPowerPlier, Blacktip , ST6 (2x), 5WR, A100

SAKs: Bantam, Executive, Ambassador, Minichamp, Classic Alox, Champion, Farmer, Explorer, Swisschamp, Golf Tool, Wenger Champ, EVO 52, Pocket Tool Chest

I would RoSchro, and thanks for the suggestion, but in my job I need to be able to run really fast.

I can see why having your SAK's on a desk while running is much easier than carrying them in pockets.

A bit of time has passed and I have used a few more SAKs since answering.
Here is my revised list,

1. Champion.        It has become my work tool and as such gets used most.
2. Explorer.           Its my go to SAK when I'm not certain what SAK to pocket.
3. Manager.          It has been a faithful tool dangling from my keys.
4. Deluxe Tinker.  It has earned a spot on my coffee table.
5. Swisschamp.   It is my hiking/camping tool of choice.

I wonder why there's no more Climber Small? I'd love one of these.

Greg.

I'm a minimalist, so I don't go for the kitchen sink tools.

  • Tourist. The Baby Spartan. Very small, not too small. Invisible to carry, does everything needed. Wish it had a metal version.
  • Climber.  The Better Spartan. Adds the most useful things.
  • Minichamp Alox. Sweet!
  • Huntsman. Super-Climber.
  • Cadet. Simple and high quality.

There is of course the alox Cadet II, but then you'll miss the backside tools.

1. Victorinox One Handed Trekker Non Serrated 111mm
2. Victorinox (or Wenger) S557 85mm
3. Victorinox Huntsman Lite 91mm
4. Victorinox SwissTool RS 115mm
5. Victorinox RangerGrip 68 130mm

#5... Meets my preferred weight (around 120 grams) in the 130mm frame, which is great for gripping with my hands. I like the shape and utility of the knife, with the essential bottle and can openers, toothpick and tweezers. I would not go for any less tools in an EDC than seen here :)
