How much lighter could the Wave be if one cut holes into its handles?

I have a Skeletool on order and in the meantime am really happy with the Wave, except for its weight.  There seems to be a lot of areas in the handles that one could use a Dremel to cut away some metal to save weight.

What do you guys think?

I'd be inclined to leave it alone mate, you may well weaken the tool (certainly invalidate the warenty) plus it'll probably make it easier for sweat and moisture to get in :-\
Give in, buy several Farmer's!!!!!!

I read somewhere about all the engineering and testing they did in order to make the Juice handles as lightweight as possible, but still strong;

Wonder why they didn't do the same thing on the Wave or Charge?

  • Hello...is this thing on?
Wonder why they didn't do the same thing on the Wave or Charge?

Because the Wave and Charge are seen as "heavy" duty tools, and more weight makes it feel stronger?

That does indeed make sense.. I agree with Micky, the cutouts would void the warranty. And, you don't want that!
