Coast Micro FishTool

It's a decent MT but no where near the quality of a Leatherman or Gerber.

The upside for a small multi-tool that's essentially the size of a Micra it has nice skinny needle nose pliers that are great for precision and small spaces that you just can't do with larger pliers.

It closes tighter than most small multi-tools.  The knife has an ok lockup for the size but most of the other secondary tools don't lock up well or at all.

I wonder what steel these things are made of these days.  Coast used to mark all of their knives and MTs 440c (in all likelihood a Chinese formulation) but now it's just "Surgical Stainless" or "400 series stainless".

I see these things listed on a lot of Chinese import sites as 'Winchester' brand multitools. If you buy them in lots of 5 or so they seem to run $5-6 each. I've been tempted to buy some to give away, but from the odd video I've seen on them I expect I'll go with a squirt (I loved my Dime but it pretty much gave up the ghost) for my own keychain.

Looks like they make a scissor-based tool as well that I didn't know about:

That one's the pliers tool.

This definitely reminds me of a Micra. :)

This is very close to the Berkley Mini Fishing Tool I picked up a few months ago.

I mostly hate that tool, but I could see it being okay if the build quality was better. maybe it is on the Coast version.

One thing the Coast could really use is a spring it's kind of annoying to use without one.

And we find the saw that should be on regular tools with a scaler.
