Finally, after waiting over a year, I finally picked up the Gerber Crucial I'd been eyeing at Tractor Supply, after they'd marked it down to $20, instead of the $40 it's been for quite some time.  Already used the strap cutter opening feed sacks and mineral blocks my grandmother bought the same trip.

Myth Shotgun Multi Tool. This one is kind of neat. Well made with a strong tool lock.

Eclipse Keychain tool. This one is used, but in good enough condition to offer a general example for the keychain tool collection.

And an Unused MultiLite. The package was already open when I got it, but the tool itself is perfect, including the small plastic housing tools.

Very nice.  Got the same kit before the CD challenge. :)
Congrats! Great kit. Use the cleaning stuff on my pistol and lens cleaning stuff on my camera and binoculars. Of course, the CD comes with it.  :)

Yeah I thank/Blame your links for the purchase too! :twak:

I held off on the Black one throughout the challenge and even when another member here offered me a trade for his as he was not a believer after the challenge but then in a moment of intense justification I made a lower offer on Ebay and here it is! :dunno:

I can always use the cleaning kit stuff and the Red Mag is interesting as is the case too!

And since I have carried the CD ever since getting mine it just was an easy purchase to make. :tu:

Thanks Again!

Glad you're enjoying the CD. It is a sweet piece of engineering and highly capable in some work environments. :)

And +1 on the neat red-beam mag! I love mine, because it is ridiculously bright for a "close-quarters" tactical beam. :ahhh

Yep. Gerber had it listed as an awl. It was replaced by the Simonds file in the V.3. :)

Finally found a BN FPR Multi-Lock.  :woohoo:

FPR BN Multi-Lock(bottom) pictured with the NN FPR Multi-Lock(middle) and an older Multi-Lock production tool(top).

FPR NN and FPR BN same toolset. Note: The flat drivers are shorter on FPR Multi-Locks. Phillips is different as well(no fingernail catch), but same length.

FPR Multi-Lock(left) and older Multi-Lock BN(right) drivers.

FPR Multi-Lock(bottom) and older Multi-Lock BN(top) drivers.

It is a V.1.0 non-FPR. Nail nicks wrong side of blades and cutouts on blade sides only.
Nice find, Sam! :like:

The knife I'm not familiar with, but it has the same styling/blade/scissors/lock tabs as the MP800/700 tools, so probably from the same era. Looks like an awesome rare pocket tool. :)

First Production Run. :)

First on the left, see where it says "First Production Run" between the handle pivot and Gerber stamp? The first small batch had that etching, then another larger batch was made the same without FPR. :)

Here is something I wrote several years ago about the different versions of Mr Pinchy, it might help:

Sorry, I've tended to speSmurfpillse in "pliery" MTs, so haven't taken much notice of knives.  I agree with GLBM that it looks very similar to the Gerber MP700 Urban Legend MT.
