Got two gerber lately. One Flik and one Mp 600.The Flik isn`t so bad. Ok, the small middle tools are difficult to get out but it feels really sturdy and I like the plier/handle function. And all tools on the outside.I like.
Quote from: captain spaulding on December 12, 2013, 12:35:16 AMThanks for the info. I started a thread wondering about the colored MP600's. Do you have a link to any more info on these? Thank you.I added in some links to older MTo threads on coloured Gerbers to your new thread.BTW Congratulations on your finds (nice photos), your ebay-fu is obviously better than mine because I didn't see either the blue one or the red one offered for sale (maybe I'll have to get you to give me some tips ).

Very nice! I swear the Mr. Pinchy never gets old. There is just something about them that makes me WANT MORE!!!!!!

Yes for sure. I like the feel of the steel and like how they can be totally disassembled easily for cleaning and service. No bells and whistles just good ole fashioned usability in these.
MultiLite
WH867 Dennis posted pics of his a couple years ago, and I've been on the lookout for one ever since. But guess what! Gerber MP600, First Production RunCheck out those grey lock releases, and stainless plier head clips.

I have one the same (NIB), and also another one (on the way) that appears to be a bit different. In the (less then fantastic) photos, it looks like it has black lock releases and black plier head clips (along with wear and rust and marks- but it was fairly cheap). I haven't seen one like this before:http://www.ebay.com/itm/331094565941 (click on "See original listing" to see all photos). What say you all ? I can see the silver plier head clips being easily changed for the more common black ones, but not the lock releases. Maybe they ran out of grey ones near the end of the FPR run, or just decided to go with black ?

I have a blunt-nose FPR that has black plastic and black clips.
Hey on a related note, check out that decal down in the corner of my photo. It is one of those funny pictures that kids get from gumball machines, where if you tip it slightly the image changes. One view shows the MP600 jaws in, move it slightly and the image shows the jaws out. It came in the box with the tool. I thought it was pretty neat.
True enough! And not nearly so likely to get you fired from your job for excess flicking!
lol. No point in having a flicky Gerber if you don't use it to annoy your nearest and dearest.
another convert.
